If you ever have the opportunity to travel to Pune India, I have the 411 on an amazing place to stay. If you are looking for 5-star luxury, with all of the modern conveniences nestled in a restful resort, the Conrad Pune is for you.
Opened in 2016, the Conrad Pune has 310 rooms, 5 restaurants, a spa and a fabulous pool and cabana area.
I had the opportunity to stay on one of the 2 executive floors and was in a King Premium Room. I was there for 3 weeks on business with a coworker friend and it was truly a home away from home.
The room is beautiful and is a wonderful place to have spend 3 weeks at.
In addition to a super comfy king size bed and a massive bathroom with soaking tub, there is also a nice couch, table and chair and your own personal espresso machine!

This is the main restaurant and features a buffet spread of Indian, Asia and European fare, with live cooking stations. The food was delicious. It was a great place to try out Indian food to discover what you like. The staff was amazing, I let them know that I wanted to try different local dishes and they were always bringing me things to try. If you are there for breakfast you have to try the baked yogurt and a big butter dosa with all of the different chutneys.
We stop here a couple times for take away. They have a selection of chocolates, baked goods, coffee and a limited menu. I had the quinoa salad with smoked salmon and avocado and it was really yummy
I did not eat at Zeera this trip, but I did eat there last year and it was delicious. Zeera serves up traditional Indian food in an elegant setting. We tried a veg and non-veg tasting menu and it was so much food but it was fun to get to try up so many different dishes.
We splurged one night and ate at Koji. Specializing in Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes. So delicious, but expensive in comparison to the other restaurants in the hotel. A great option if you are looking for great food and have the budget.
This turned out to be one of our favorite spot to eat and just hang out after work or on the weekends. They had a nice variety of items on their menu and a great drink menu. Our favorite spicy fried chicken bites with fries and chili cheese toast. One order of each was the perfect dinner for the 2 of us.
I order room service a couple times for dinner, but we have the kitchen pack us up a lunch for most work days. They had a nice selection and food choices. One of most favorites with the roasted chicken sandwich with scallions with chips and baby bananas. The would pack our lunches in a nice handled bag and would leave it at the front desk so we could spend an extra couple minutes at breakfast.
Since we stay in executive rooms, we had access to the executive lounge. Obviously, there was an additional cost associated with it but it was totally worth it. The lounge served breakfast, high tea, and apps and adult beverages at night.
We ate breakfast in the lounge every day, except for 2 times. The selection was really nice. They had dried fruit, nuts, cheese, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, cereal, yogurt, deli meats, pastries, bread, hash browns, tomatoes, roasted veggies, Indian breakfast items and an omelet bar. They also served a variety of coffee options, tea and yummy fresh squeezed watermelon, pineapple and orange juice.
The evening apps and drinks were also great. Some evenings we would actually just eat a plateful of apps and call that dinner and other evenings we would stop in for a snack and a drink. I don’t usually drink and the staff was happy to get creative and made me a delicious mocktail.
Pool and Cabana area
Ahh, the pool and Cabana area. It is a little piece of heaven. The pool is not very big, but oh so lovely. The best part was the relaxing cabana area around the pool. After a long day of training, sitting down by the pool, was a great way to relax or heaven forbid, work. If you stayed too long and got hungry the staff would hook you up with all kind of yummy food.
The gym was not large but nicely appointed with enough cardio machines to accommodate the number of guests trying to exercise.
What made my stay so wonderful was not all of the luxurious things mentioned above. Don’t get me wrong, they were wonderful, but what made my stay so incredible was the hotel staff. They were amazing and kind. Always looking for ways to make our stay better and just a little bit more special. After just a couple days, they knew our habits and it was such a nice thing to go down to the lounge for breakfast and see them start making my double espresso with milk and mushroom, bacon and onion omelet with multi-grain toast.
If you have an opportunity or the need to stay in Pune, I highly recommend the Conrad Pune as your home away from home,
