Ah, the joys of Disney World trip planning. I am in Disney World trip planning heaven and we are counting down the days to our family trip to Disney World. There are many options for the perfect Disney World vacation, but here are our family favorites.

January is the perfect time to take a vacation to Disney World for our family. The weather is mild and the crowds are light. I don’t have the patience to endure the crowds, long waits, and heat of the summer. For information on the best times to visit Disney World, check out WDW Prep School’s crowd calendar
We do 4 full days in the parks and then a partial day on our departure day. Since we live all the way across the country, we will not try to squeeze in a park visit on the day of our arrival.
Where to stay on Disney property
With both grandmas, there will be 5 of us, so we need a place that can comfortably accommodate us all. There are a couple of on-site properties that can accommodate 5 people in a single room but that would be a tight squeeze. Our resort of choice is the Old Key West Resort. We are staying in the one bedroom villa. There is plenty of room for the whole family and as a bonus, it has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer! The 1 bedroom villa runs over $5oo per night, but if you rent from an agency that rents DVC points such as David’s Vacation Rentals you can get the room for about $330 per night.
We are heading off our Disney adventure in January so pack your virtual suitcase and come along for our adventure.
